This month the nursery kids will be working on a special holiday project. Keep your eyes open each week to see when they create something special to bring home! We love watching them grow and learn to explore new skills in the nursery.
The theme this month: A Roaring Rescue
Bottom Line: Goodbye fear, God is here!
At this age, many kids struggle with becoming more aware of the world around them, and with that, they start to build fears. BUT we have amazing news for them, God is bigger and stronger than any scary thing, and our big, strong God is always here. God promises to help when you are afraid. Let's make sure the kids walk away this month knowing they have nothing to fear when God is near.
Bible Verse: Isaiah 41:13 NIV “… the Lord your God … says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”
The theme this month: Use it or lose it! Don't waste what you've got!
Bible Verse: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” Luke 16:10a, NIV
In Psalm 24:1, we read, The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, (NIV). In other words, whatever we have isn’t really ours. God created the entire world—the land and sea, planets and galaxies, animals and people. And when people create, those people do so because of the gift and talents that God gave them. It’s our job to take care of what God has loaned us for a time to use in order to bring Him glory.
Jesus put stewardship into action. He used the time He had on earth wisely, never wasting a moment, but always working towards God’s plan. He used what He had—from bread and fish, to dirt and spit—to perform miracles, helping people see and eat. Everything Jesus did showed us how we can take care of God’s stuff by using it the way that points people to God and fulfills the mission God has for our lives.
We hope you will join us for our "Parenting on Purpose: Raising a Resilient Child" Parenting Class. Saturday, Oct. 21st
